The death of Dorothy Ellen Finlay of Fairview Home, Brandon occurred Saturday January 28, 2006 at her residence. Funeral arrangements are pending with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.

FINLAY: Dorothy Ellen Finlay (nee Dryden) passed away at her residence, Fairview Home, with her family at her side on Saturday, January 28, 2006. Dorothy was born on March 24, 1911 in Lenore District, the daughter of William and Annie Dryden. She married Melville Finlay on March 9, 1932. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Myrna (Edwin) Mitchell, Anne (Budd) Forsyth, Gail Hickson, Linda (Bernard) Chrisp and Douglas (Pearl) Finlay; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and one sister, Eileen Nurse. She was predeceased by: her husband, Melville in 1985; infant son, Gerald, son-in-law, Kenneth Hickson; parents, William and Annie Dryden; five sisters, four brothers; as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law. The Ceremony to Celebrate Dorothy's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Paul Sakasov of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church will officiate. A private family interment will be held at the Johnston Cemetery.
