Obituary

The death of Dorothy Mary Embree occurred at Hillcrest Place in Brandon, Manitoba, on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on January 27, 1917 to James and Helen Ross. Dorothy grew up on a farm in the Cypress River area and later resided at Souris, MacGregor, Winnipeg, Gimli, coming to Brandon in 1971, at which time she was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A very special time for her was her mission in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990 to 1991. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Dan) Munroe, three grandsons: Jason, Geoff (Tania) and Justin (Fiona), two great-grandsons: Connor and Curtis, and one brother, Hugh Ross. The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 107 Queens Avenue East, on Thursday (today), April 12, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Bishop Marvin Beaumont conducting the Service. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 203, 42 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B2 or a Charity of Choice.
