The death of Doris Hazel Jones occurred on April 23, 2001 at her residence, Fairview Home with family members at her side. Doris spent her early years growing up in Douglas, Manitoba, helping in the family store. After the war she married Robert John Jones in 1945. They resided in Douglas, raising their family until they moved to Brandon in 1958. Mom spent her life looking after and caring for her family. Doris was pre-deceased by her husband, Bob in 1980, a brother, Jim Hooke, and her father, Harry and mother, Gladys Hooke. She will be sadly missed by sons, Robert (Wilma) Jones of Minnedosa; Allan (Lynda) Jones of Calgary, Alberta; daughter, Trish (Bob) McCallum of Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and sister, Margaret Olive Andrews. The Ceremony to Celebrate Doris' life will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2001 at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North in Brandon, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Barb Jardine will officiate. All attending the Ceremony will be honorary pallbearers. Interment will take place at the Madford Cemetery at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
