It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Lorraine Livingstone (nee Williamson) on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.

Donna was born in Minnedosa on December 8,1932 to parents Eva (nee Grassie) and Fred Williamson. Mom grew up on the family farm southeast of Minnedosa. She attended school at the nearby rural schoolhouse, and in later years boarded at The Castle in Minnedosa (which at the time was owned by the Williamson Family) while attending high school. It was here that she met Dad and they became high school sweethearts. Donna continued her education in Brandon going to Secretary College.

She was employed by Dr J.B. Baker until she and dad were married at St Mark's Anglican Church in Minnedosa on April 10, 1954. Their first home would be in Virden, with future moves to Brandon, Winnipeg, Thompson back to Winnipeg and finally settling back in Brandon. All of these moves meant Mom would be forever changing jobs. She worked in the secretarial, bookkeeping and accounting fields, being employed by the University of Manitoba, City of Thompson, Lowes Refrigeration, and an autobody repair shop in Brandon. While in Winnipeg she started her own business, Donel Enterprise.

Donna and John were very community oriented and belonged to many organizations over the years, which included the Kinsmen Club, Hydro X, their condo association and the Prairie Oasis Senior Centre. Together they volunteered at Meals on Wheels and Operation Rednose in Brandon.

Mom was an exceptional seamstress and quilter. She made many beautiful quilts, which are now cherished family heirlooms. She also enjoyed knitting, crochet, needlepoint work, the list is endless.

Mom is lovingly remembered by her sons Ron (Mona) and Brian (Shelley); four grandsons Alan, Kevin (Erin), Ryan (Lacey), Robert (Heidi) and eight greatgrandchildren; brothers Claire of Calgary, and Jack (Audrey Vance) of Creston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her husband of 66 years John, parents Fred and Eva Williamson, parents-in-law Henry and Mary Livingstone, brother Keith Williamson, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.

A private family funeral was held at Memories Chapel, Brandon. Interment at the Minnedosa Cemetery will take place at a later date.
