Obituary

Donella (little flower) Ray Seaman, beloved wife of Stuart S. Seaman, Nesbitt, Manitoba, passed from this life Sunday, March 4, 2001 in her 59th year, at the Fairview Home. She was valiant in her near eight year illness, but succumbed eventually to cancer. Left to mourn her passing is Stuart Seaman, Nesbitt, her father Mahlon Holtz, sisters, Marla (Geik), Orien (Keith) and Lavonne (Carter), brothers, Kem, Kellard and Kirt. Daughters, Lisa, Alexandria, Maren and Amy (John) Kaitell. Her sons, Dean and Jeremy and grandchildren of the Ottawa and Pembroke, Ontario areas. She also had many close friends: Jennifer Ferguson, Annie and Jim Atkinson of Toronto, Yvette Lennon, Brandon, Garth Hampson (The Singing Mountie), Harold and Ellen Nightingale, Margaret Williams, Pembroke, Ontario, Tricia Davies, Vancouver, B.C. Wayne McNulty, Ontario, her little dog "Nikki" and others. Donella became a teacher, serving in Quebec and Ontario. She was very versatile and held a number of positions, including working with Save The Children, Toronto and Executive Assistant in Brandon General Hospital. She had a sharp mind and a good sense of humor. She loved dancing and travel, and attended many "Jazz outings" to Brandon, Ottawa, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Duluth, and Minneapolis with Stuart. Services will be conducted at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba, Saturday, March 10, 2001, 2:30 p.m. by Pastor Harold Nightingale. Interment will be in the Maringhurst Cemetery.
