Obituary

ROLLINS: The death of Donald Charles "Don" Rollins, beloved husband of Molly, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. The Ceremony to Celebrate Don's life will be held at Central United Church, 327 8th Street on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Joan Jarvis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Don may be made to The Compassionate Friends of Southwestern Manitoba, 2 - 1321 13th Street, Brandon MB R7A 4S5. Complete obituary information to follow. ROLLINS: The death of Donald Charles "Don" Rollins, beloved husband of Molly, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. Don was born in Jamieson, Saskatchewan on May 29, 1920 and spent his growing up years in the area attending school at Fairview, Saskatchewan. Following his education, he spent three and a half years as ground crew in the air force. Don went on to spend most of his career as a self-employed farmer. He also spent a few years welding for various companies until he retired in 1985. He was married to Edna, his first wife, and they raised three sons, Mervyn, Morley and Norman. He was a member of the united church and enjoyed singing in the Prairie Oasis Choir. Don was also a founding member of the Commonwealth Air Training Museum. He is survived by: his wife, Molly; sons Mervyn, Morley and Norman; grandchildren Bryce, Brad, Chancy and Talla Rollins; and great-grandchildren Noah, June, Adam and Aubrey. Don was predeceased by: his father, Elmer Rollins; mother, Elizabeth Rollins: brother, Bill Rollins and granddaughter, Tracy Rollins. The Ceremony to Celebrate Don's life was held at Central United Church, 327 8th Street on Friday, October 1, 2004. The Rev. Joan Jarvis officiated. Constable Brad Rollins was the urn bearer. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined.
