BOROTSIK: Danny Borotsik passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, on April 20, 1999. He was born December 12, 1925 in Brandon, MB to his parents, Katherine and Nicholas Borotsik. Danny attended Justice School in Justice, MB, where he played ball, hockey and curled. After his schooling, Danny went into farming and retired from farming at the age of sixty-four years. He and his wife, Iris, have resided in Brandon since 1982. Throughout his seventy-four years, Danny made the world a happier place with all his story telling, jokes, and bubbly personality. After his retirement, Danny enjoyed fishing, travelling, and continued to help with harvesting. Danny will be sadly missed and always remembered by his wife, Iris; stepchildren: Beverly, Lynda, Garry, and Milton; grandchildren: Angelica, Milton, Amanda, Meghan, Chris, and Candice; brother, Walter (Jean) Borotsik of Brandon, MB; sister Stella Jaska, also of Brandon, MB; sister Jean (Clarence) Wirth of Ainsworth, BC; sister Ann Evanchuk of Los Angeles, California; nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Nicholas Borotsik, and four brothers: Martin, John, Peter, and Steven. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 23, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
