BLACK: Donald Laughlin Black passed away suddenly in Dauphin, Manitoba on Wednesday, April 28, 2004. Don was born on September 17, 1937 and lived all of his life on the family farm at Harding, Manitoba. He attended E.P.S. and Harding Schools. He worked for Lawsons and Kansteel in Brandon. Don was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Ella Black, brother, Jack, sisters-in-law, Hazel Herman, Elva Wilde and Mary Haggerty; brothers-in-law, Lou Towriss, Bill Towriss, Reg Heron, Ed Heron and Alvin Heron. He is survived by: his loving wife of 33 years, Doreen; children, Heather (Vern) Bilawchuk and Duncan Black of Winnipeg, Bradley Black of Gillam; sister, Jean (Murray) Cochrane of Grande Prairie, AB; sisters-in-law, Winnifred Black of Brandon, Mae Heron of Saskatoon, Marg Towriss, Gladys Towriss and Anne Heron of Moose Jaw; brother-in-law, Karl Wilde of Regina and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Boyd Drake will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
