GOODMAN: Dennis Mervyn Goodman passed away peacefully on May 14, 2000 in Brandon, Manitoba. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Francis and Florence Goodman and a brother, Ross. He was born in Rocanville, Saskatchewan on April 26, 1930, the fifth of eight children. He attended Hillburn School near Rocanville until he left home at the age of 17 to venture out on his own. He married Mildred Ruth Bridgeman on October 24, 1953 at Ancrum Church in Bradwardine, Manitoba. Their grandchildren are: Trevor, Nicki, Darren, Jessica, Kaitlin, Samantha, Tineil, Lindsey, Danielle, Coltin, Megan, Michelle and Keaghan. Dennis had a passion for his work and a great love for his family. He spent many happy hours flying his own airplane, a Turbo Arrow, and he thoroughly enjoyed a good round of golf. His creativity with stained glass has left many beautiful legacies for his family and friends. He was, at one time, an active member in the Brandon Shrine Club. Dennis was the founding president of the Riverview Curling Club and very instrumental in the establishment of this club before his retirement. Dennis and Millie spent 13 years "migrating" to Texas in the winter months where they met many wonderful friends and had many good times.
