LECOCQ: Denise Louise (nee De Wulf) peacefully with her family at her side passed away late Sunday evening on July 16, 2006 at the Brandon Regional Health Center in her 71st year. Denise is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lucien "Lou"; her loving children: Dorothy (Keith) Longbottom of Brandon, Dennis (Anita) Lecocq of Swan River, and Vern (Sharon) Lecocq of Vernon, British Columbia; her much loved grandchildren: Jennifer (Kahn), Neil, Deanne (Serge), Dana (Bob), Blake, Derrick, and Darren; and her most precious and cherished great-grandchildren: Arianelle and Madden. She is also survived by her only sister Jenny (Mike) De Jeagher and many nieces and nephews. Denise devoted 25 years of service to the Brandon General Hospital as a seamstress and then in the operating room as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed going to their cabin at Oak Lake for 17 years where she enjoyed fishing. Then upon retirement her and Lou started traveling and found their winter retreat in Mesa, Arizona for 19 years. Throughout her life she always enjoyed sewing, making quilts for all the grandchildren, doing crafts, and attending many craft sales. She also enjoyed golfing, gardening, playing cards, going to many music jams and her years with the Red Hat social club. Denise was a devoted friend to many and their love in return made her life joyful and meaningful. OUR MOTHER

June 25 she came into this world,
A cute little baby girl
A little sister for Jenny
That she would cherish like a bright new penny
To the lake and work she would go
Thru rain, sunshine or snow
But her face was always aglow
At 16 she would meet the man of her life
And at 17 Lou said she would make a good wife
Three kids she did have
1 girl, 2 boys all in good health
She raised all to have some wealth
Then she would travel south
To the trailer park to stay
Sometimes till the 1st of May
Crafts and sewing were her pastime
But she was always making a dime
So at this time
A life that was so good and fine
We shall raise a glass of wine
To our mother just fine
As we all call her mine
Mom's last words
"What was meant to be, was meant to be."

All our Love
Dorothy, Dennis, VernMemorials
