With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denise Gertrude Desjardin, who left us on November 3, 2024, at the age of 66.
Denise was born on August 31, 1958, in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, and spent her early years on her family's farm in Makinak, MB.
Growing up, Denise was deeply rooted in rural life, spending her days helping her brothers with farm chores, milking cows, and assisting her mother in the garden. She developed a love for the outdoors, enjoying trail rides with Bob.
Denise attended elementary school in Makinak before moving on to high school in Dauphin, MB and later attending Assiniboine Community College.
Her career began at K-Mart in Brandon and then found her path in banking, working with Westoba Credit Union in Brandon, followed by positions at TD Bank in Selkirk and Scotiabank in Brandon.
Denise had a love of sewing, decorating, and fashion. Throughout her life she was known for her quick wit and sense of humour, which will forever be remembered by her friends and family.
Predeceased by her parents John & Theresa Brunen; sisters Theresa and Charlott; and father and mother-in-law Bob and Dorothy Desjardin.
Denise is survived by her husband Bob Desjardin; sons Landon (Kailan), Adam (Shelby); grandchildren Ryder, Layla, Jordy Mae, Xander and Scarlett; sisters Rosemarie (Trevor), Donna, Betty, Marian, Marjorie; brothers Bill, Teddy and Denis; In-laws Lynda (Bob), Dawne (Len); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will cherish Denise's memory privately.
