The Ceremony to celebrate David's life will be held at Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Alvin Wiebe will officiate. SHOEMAKER: David Graham Shoemaker, husband of Cindy-Lou Shoemaker, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dave was born January 19, 1953 in Virden, Manitoba. He received his education in Elkhorn, and Brandon. Dave lived and breathed trucks, working throughout his life on road construction, where he attained his chauffer license and then he started his trucking career. In 1984, he became a very successful truck salesman. Dave returned to long haul trucking in 2004. Dave loved life; he was mischievous, quick-witted, unselfish, and positive. He always had a smile on his face and a wonderful sense of humour. Dave's gift was giving to others; he would help anyone, anytime. Dave's home was a house of love for many children especially the nieces and nephews. His expressions of love came out of his deep faith in Christ. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 22 years Cindy-Lou and missed by "Buddy". Survived by children Ryan and Sherry; grandchildren; mother Bernice; siblings Jo-Anne Birnie, Darwin (Isabel) Shoemaker, Spencer Shoemaker, Adele (Gordon) Attridge, and Tanis (Brian) Mitchell; many aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Dave is predeceased by his father Bob Shoemaker; brother-in-law Cliff Birnie.
