WHITE, Darrin Bruce - Loving father of Ashlee, Denon, Leslie and Tasha. Darrin left us suddenly and tragically on Monday, March 13, 2000. As well as his children, he is survived by his parents, Leslie and Lillian White of Brandon; sister Debbie (Murray) Empey and their children Jody (Marria), Korina, and Kaitlin; his brothers Lyle and Wayne. Also surviving are Darrin's aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godmother Bernice Lewis of Brandon and godfather Wilfred Oakley of North West Territories. He was predeceased by an infant brother in 1956. Darrin was born on April 1, 1965 in Neepawa, Manitoba. He attended Riverview School, Earl Haig, Crocus Plains and A.C.C., after which he and his brother, Lyle, travelled to Ontario where Darrin worked with the Canadian National Railway. In 1996, Darrin and his family moved to British Columbia where he worked with BC Rail as a locomotive engineer. Darrin's loving and tender nature made him thoroughly devoted to those we loved. Nothing pleased him more than to spend time with his children. His hobbies included nature walks, reading, climbing trees, hunting, and biking. His immediate as well as his large extended family will forever recall his quick, beaming smile; his devotion to his loved ones; his sense of humour; and his fun-loving, happy personality. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 31, 2000 with Fr. Leo Fernandes as celebrant. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ward Pratt, Tom Dunbar, Daryl Ewasiuk, Darrin's nephew Jody Empey, David and Bernice Lewis. Flowers are gratefully declined.
