Darleen Angela Lindsey (nee Joelson) passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 75.

Darleen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 55 years Lloyd "Bud"; children Vernon, Angela (Chris) Brown; grandchildren that she was so proud of Cayden and Lindsey (Dylan) Brown; sister Aldeen (Bob) Haegeman, their children Michael (Jennifer) Haegeman, Shannon (Jules) Berard and families.

Darleen was born and raised in Baldur, MB until she went on to Winnipeg to graduate from St. Boniface as a registered nurse. Her dedicated career had her retiring from the NICU in 2004. After retirement, she was able to focus more on her favorite people – her grandkids. When the kids were out of school for the summers, she was taking them on adventures or crafting and making memories. She was the proudest Grannie when they graduated but a little sad that her summers had gotten quieter along the way.

If you knew her, she always had the softest hands and the gentlest touch. The miles and miles of yarn and embroidery thread that passed through her finger was immeasurable. If you're lucky enough to have something made by her, keep it, it's priceless. For being the shortest in the family, she had the biggest presence in any room.

Keeping with Darleen's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a formal service. If you'd like to remember her, think of her when you see a dragonfly.
