HOEFER: The death of Dale Corey Hoefer (Bourassa) of Brandon occurred tragically on Tuesday, November 2, 1999 in North Carolina, USA. Dale was born on October 2, 1980 in Brandon, Manitoba. He spent all his early years in Brandon. Dale attended George Fitton, Harrison Jr. High, and Crocus Plains. He held a variety of jobs until he started working with Conklin Shows. He loved his job and enjoyed all the travelling throughout Canada and the United States. He especially enjoyed meeting new people. Dale had a likeable personality and made many friends wherever he travelled. During his earlier years, Dale was involved in a variety of sports, mainly hockey and baseball. He demonstrated leadership qualities during these years. He was very proud of his athletic achievements, especially those in track and field. Dale leaves to mourn a very large and loving family and extended family. He is survived by his father and mother, Rod and Susie Bourassa; brothers: Benson (Brenda) Bourassa and Mike Hoefer; sister Rhonda (Buddy) Bourassa; Aunt Cheryl (Brian) Dunn; Aunt Clara (Clarence) Mitchell; Uncle Jess (Myrt) Anderson and Grandma Gloria Sandison. Also left to mourn is his large extended family, stepsisters: Debbie (Barry) Barber and Lori Flett; stepbrothers: Darrell (Linda) Flett, Blaine (Teresa) Flett and Terry Flett; cousins: Jodi Barber, Shawn Barber (to whom he was especially close), Dan Barber; Heidi, Niki and Teagan Flett. Also surviving are Aunts Marie, Helene, Bev, Carol and Margie; Uncle Butch; numerous nieces and nephews. Dale will be forever missed. Funeral service was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, November 9, 1999. Rev. Orton Anderson officiated. Pallbearers were Shawn Barber, Chad Lawrence, Derek George, B.J. Eastcott, Darrel Kilbride, Scott Johnson and Dan Barber. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery.
