DRAPER: The death of Dainah Christine Draper, loving wife of Scott and dear mother to Josh and Ben and beloved daughter of Wally and Lynda Johnston, occurred accidentally on Sunday, May 6, 2007. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Garry MacDowell will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may make a donation in memory of Dainah to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, CB501- 840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1. Complete obituary information will follow. I Scott, the loving husband of Dainah Christine Draper, along with Josh and Ben, sons of Dainah, parents Wally & Linda Johnston, and brother Dennis and wife Brenda Johnston and the rest of the extended Draper and Johnston families would like to take this time to send a heartfelt thank you to those who spoke kind words and made personal efforts to comfort us at such a hard time in all of our lives. I would also like to acknowledge the Rev. Garry MacDowall on such a beautiful tribute to my dear Dainah and a big thank you to Vernon Schneider and the caring staff of Memories Chapel for showing care and compassion on these very difficult times. Dainah was a beautiful and such a giving person, the memories of her laughing smile and selfless acts will go on for eternity in all our memories and our hearts.



DRAPER: Dainah Christine Draper passed away suddenly in the R.M. of Sifton on May 6, 2007 at the age of 39 years. Dainah was born on May 16, 1967 in Brandon, Manitoba. She received her education at Meadows, Souris, Earl Oxford, and Crocus Plains Schools. Growing up, Dainah was involved in tap dancing, figure skating and the pony club. As a teenager, she was also involved with the Big Brothers and Sisters and helped with the handicapped. Dainah's lifetime working career included: working at home sitting kids, paddling pools, at Scarlet's Collectibles, Sooters Photo, the Bank of Montreal, hospital laundry, Forest School as at teacher's assistant, Melita Dental Clinic, Deloraine Hospital Lab, and RHA as a scheduling clerk. Dainah loved animals, gardening, traveling, meeting and helping people, and spending time with family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Scott Draper; sons Josh and Ben; parents Wally and Lynda Johnston; brother Dennis Johnston and family. Dainah was predeceased by her grandpa and grandma Nevins; Bob and Sis Draper; uncles Jim Beattie, Bus and Archie Douglas, Sid and Ted Bailey and a cousin Milton Ingram. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, May 10, 2007. Rev. Garry MacDowell officiated.
