Colleen Judith Wilson of Rapid City, MB passed away at Minnedosa Hospital on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Colleen was born on August 8, 1950 in Shilo, Manitoba to Harold Dunning and Hilda Thompson, the seventh of eight children; Nelson, Ruth, Ken, Raymond, Terry, Sharon, and Brian. Colleen grew up in Dunrea and Souris, Manitoba, developing a deep love of swimming that she shared with everyone around her.

In November 1974, Colleen married David Wilson and they moved to the family farm in Rapid City where they continued to live. Colleen had 4 children, Karen (Ron), Steven, Kimberly (Paul), and Kylia. Colleen loved her family and enjoyed seeing it flourish with her thirteen grandchildren and later six great grandchildren:

Grandchildren: Danielle (Andrew) Buckle, Kellen (Elizabeth) Ramsey, Justine (Ben) Bradley, Kodi Wilson, Jewel Nikkel, Colby Nikkel, Seanna Nikkel, Colton Nikkel, Melanie (Bill) Buchan, Madoc Carew, Aylie Carew, Lachlan Carew, and Elizabeth Carew

Great Grandchildren: Jackson Ramsey, Harper Buckle, Jude Buckle, Everly Ramsey, Scarlet Buchan, and Mackenzie Bradley

Colleen loved her home and inviting everyone to share a meal. She always had a large garden and loved baking. In the summer she would share her love of swimming and playing in the pool with her children and grand children. Colleen was an amazing woman of faith and loved Jesus with everything.

She was a wonderful wife, caring mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered the most for how she loved everyone around her, always having time to open her home and her heart to others, leaving them with a legacy of love and memories.

A private graveside service to celebrate Colleen's life will be held at the Rapid City Cemetery.
