Obituary

COLLEEN FRANCES WHITE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen after losing her battle with cancer. Colleen is survived by her loving husband Bill, her children Anthony (Kendell) LoRegio, Christine LoRegio (Matt Watkins, granddaughter Olive) and Andrew LoRegio, her parents Joan and Dave White; her step-children and grandchildren, Jaime-Lynn Dyck (Stu, Nicole), Brad White (Sabrina, Danika, Riley and Brady) and Aaron White. She also leaves her sister Joanne Evoy (Wince) and their families, Dave (Heather, Austin, McKenzie), Ashley (Jon, Dean, Laine) along with many friends.
Colleen was born July 22, 1960 in Montreal, Quebec. She lived in Montreal until she was 16 when her family moved to Napanee, Ontario. Colleen went to High School in Napanee for a year – then her family moved to Calgary, Alberta. Colleen graduated from High School in Calgary, Alberta. Colleen and her family lived in Calgary until she was 19 when they relocated to Fort McMurray, Alberta. Colleen worked at The Bay in Fort McMurray, then at the local radio station. It was at this position with the radio station that Colleen met the father of her children. She was married in 1984 and then moved back to Calgary, where she lived for 5 years. Anthony & Christine were born in Calgary. Colleen then moved to Fort Frances, Ontario where she lived for 5 years. Colleen had her third child, Andrew in Fort Frances and worked at Lakeland Personnel.
In 1995, Colleen and her family moved to Brandon where she resided until her death. Colleen worked for Meyers Norris Penny, Maple Leaf and her last position was with Westman Communications Group. Colleen thoroughly enjoyed her job at Westman Communications Group and it was tough for her to have to leave it in 2012 due to her illness.
In 2005, Colleen met Bill White and they were married in August of 2009.
The joy in Colleen's life has always been her children, no matter how she was feeling just a text or phone call from her children perked her right up. Colleen loved spending time with her family and friends and has been so grateful for all the love and support she received from everyone. Colleen's daughter Christine blessed her with a beautiful granddaughter, Olive, in August 2013. Colleen was overjoyed and thoroughly enjoyed the time she got to spend with Olive.
Colleen wanted to thank Dr. Moller, Dr. Gordon and all the chemo nurses for their support through her illness. The Funeral Service took place at Memories Chapel on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Rev. Barb Jardine officiated. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Colleen may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation – Brandon RHA Cancer Services, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3.
