Obituary

EASTCOTT: Clifford Earl Eastcott of Brandon passed away July 6, 1999 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Clifford was born May 20, 1912 at Shoal Lake, Manitoba to parents, Richard and Ida Eastcott. He grew up North East of Shoal Lake on the family farm and took his schooling in Shoal Lake. Throughout the years, Clifford's employment included trapping, farming, truck driving for MacArthur's & Hedges, and working as a mechanic in automotive repair for McGavins for 34 years. He was actively involved in the Brandon Curling Club and the Brandon Gun Club. Clifford interests involved outdoor recreation where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Clifford was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Emma Elizabeth (Randall); sister, Anne Bryce; brothers: Jim, Bill, Bert, Jack, and Clarence; and great-grandson, Jayton. He is survived by his son, Jim and wife Betty; grandsons: Robbie, Kevin, and Daryl; granddaughter, Sharon; great-grandchildren: Tiara, Matthew, Jayden and Sage; sister, Lucy (Alf) Brennen; brothers: Tom, Lyle, Keith, Ivan and George; and sister-in-law, Rhoda Morton. A time of visitation for friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, today, July 10, 1999 from 11:00 am. to 12:00 noon with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Rev. Bob Wiebe will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, friends who so wish, may make donations in memory of Clifford to the Brandon General Hospital Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, R7A 2B3. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
