STEPHENSON: Christine (Hubbard), beloved mother of Ricky, Kathy and Tracy, passed away suddenly in Brandon on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Chris was born on May 12, 1953 and raised in Brandon. She attended school at New Era and Brandon Collegiate Institute. On December 4, 1970, she married her childhood sweetheart Ricky Stephenson and they had three beautiful children. In 1987, they moved to Yorkton, Saskatchewan. While there, Chris was employed at Bunsmaster and later at IGA, where she worked her way up from a cashier to store administrative assistant. In 2000, Chris returned to Brandon where she resided until her passing. Chris loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed camping, shopping and having friends and family over for coffee. Although she had serious health problems, she was always there for everyone. She lived for letters and phone calls from her children and grandchildren, whom she worshipped dearly. Countless hours were spent emailing back and forth and she looked forward to every visit. Chris will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Tracy (Scott) Bonsal of Hinton, Alberta, and Kathy Stephenson of Calgary, Alberta; son Ricky Stephenson of Yorkton, Saskatchewan; mother Elva Hubbard of Liverpool, Nova Scotia; grandchildren: Victoria, Karlee, Kaden and Taya. She is also survived by one sister Debbie (Don) and brothers John (Barb), Greg (Judy), Bob (Wulan); numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves special friends Darlene Eastcott and Grace Roy. Chris was predeceased by her father, Robert Hubbard. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Urn Bearer will be Ricky Stephenson. Honorary Bearers will be those in attendance.
