CARLSON: Christena Jean Carlson passed away at her residence, Fairview Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2008. Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Alton Mose and Miss Sharon Dorey will officiate. Viewing will be held prior to service. Interment will follow in the Carberry Plains Cemetery. CARLSON: Christena Jean Carlson passed away at Fairview Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Mrs. Carlson was born at Firdale, Manitoba on December 31, 1916. She lived in the Firdale District, east of Carberry, following her marriage to Robert Carlson in 1938. Robert and Christena farmed until 1967 when they moved to Brandon. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 1995; two sisters Mary and Violet. Christena is survived by son Stanley (Jo-Anne) and children: Lea-Ann (Keith) Newman, Darryn (Jaime), Trevor (Lisa), and Scott (Tanya); son Donald (Loretta) and children: Julie (Richard), and Robert (Jessica); and one daughter Louise Carlson. Also surviving are numerous great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Wesley (Bonnie) Carlson of Spokane, WA, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Mr. Alton Mose and Miss Sharon Dorey officiated. Organist was Mrs. Astrid Heineman. A graveside service followed at the Carberry Plains Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Darryn, Trevor, Scott, and Rob Carlson, Richard Biljardt, and Sid Johnson. Flowers are gratefully declined.
