On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 92, during a sudden shower of rain, Chester Rudd died peacefully in his bed, surrounded by family, in the Fairview Personal Care Home, in Brandon Manitoba.
Chester was born on April 1st, 1933, outside of Darlingford Manitoba. In 1951, Chester moved to Flin Flon Manitoba, and in 1954 met Betty Davis, and married in 1956. They gave birth to 4 children before moving to Snow Lake in 1978, where Chester worked as the Maintenance Foreman in the mill.
Chester took pride in his work, in his service to his community, and in helping family and friends. He could fix anything or build anything he imagined. He enjoyed gardening and spending time fishing and curling with many friends and family.
Chester is survived by his wife of 68 years Betty; brother Garry (Kay) and his sister Merle (Jim); sons Terry, Keith (Dawna), Darin (Carla) and daughter Cyndi (Steve); 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Ray, Gord, Norm, and sisters Ev and Marion.
The service will take place at Trinity United Church, 1515 6th Street Brandon MB on Saturday June 7th, at 1:00 pm.
