Obituary

YUEN: Chau Kwai. Already in heaven, she passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at the age of 100 years. She will be remembered by her daughter-in-law Big You Yuen; her grandchildren Lisa, Loree, Steve, Susan, Leanne and Chris; and her precious great grandchildren; Adam, Jennifer, Iskandir, Jasmine, Mikayla, Micah, Hannah and Lucah. Born in ToySun, China, the majority of her life was spent farming. Her generosity extended to her neighbors and raising children in need. She immigrated to Canada in 1969 to be with her family. We have been very blessed to have had her live with us in Brandon for so many years, where she was an integral part of the family. We all benefited from Granny's wisdom and kindness. She always reminded us of how special we were to her. Her gentleness will always be remembered. Granny enjoyed being around her family, especially her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting her own clothes, pillows, gardening and special outings. Viewing was held on Friday, July 22, 2005 at Memories Chapel between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Memories Chapel, with Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood officiating. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. A reception at Kam Lung restaurant followed the interment. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Fairview Home for the wonderful care that she received during her stay. Also, thank you to Dr. Ho for the many years of medical care.
