Obituary

PINEO: The death of Charles Edwin "Chuck" Pineo, beloved husband, father and grandfather, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, July 9, 2005. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Dr. Dale Woods of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Mr. Pineo to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to a charity of choice. PINEO: The death of Charles Edwin "Chuck" Pineo, beloved husband, father and grandfather, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, July 9, 2005. Chuck was born at Bede, Manitoba on March 20, 1920. As a young person, he played with his friends, went skating and enjoyed playing baseball. During his teens, Chuck socialized, attended numerous dances, bowled and helped in his father's hatchery. Chuck attended school at Melita, Reston, Carberry and Chater. During his working years, Chuck was employed with Burns, Royalite Oil, British American Oil Company, Anglo Canadian Oil Company and Simplot Chemical. Fraternally, he was a member of the Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #3. Chuck had a green thumb. He enjoyed his yard, lawn, trees and garden, keeping them in the best of condition. Many birds and squirrels enjoyed the fruits of his labors. Chuck was a good neighbor and friend, loved fishing with his buddies and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by; his wife, Margaret "Peg" and by his children; Bob (Gay) Pineo, Mary (Ed) Anderson, Margaret (Ted) Jones, Brenda (John) Burgess, Jim Pineo. He leaves his twelve grandchildren, Charles, Megan, Kim, Bob, Bill, Sandra, Bill, Mark, Alex, Sarah, Andrew and Laura. There are also five great grandchildren. Chuck is also survived by; his sisters, Bertha Campbell, Margaret Bissett and Mary Forsyth. He was predeceased by; his parents, Gordon and Margaret, his first wife, Mary-Ann (Mae) and by a brother Jack. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Dr. Dale Woods of First Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons, Chuck Pineo, Bill Jones, Bill Burgess, Mark Burgess, Alex Burgess and Bob Anderson. Interment followed in the Brandon cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
