Obituary

LAFOURNIE: Cecil Ralph Edwards LaFournie of Brandon passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2003 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Cecil was born on November 3, 1923 in Brandon, Manitoba. He was a WW II veteran, and was employed in Brandon for many years. At the time of Cecil's retirement he was a Special Constable in the Brandon Police Services. He is survived by his sons Gordon (Karen) LaFournie, Rob Mykell, Wayne (Heather) LaFournie, and Tom LaFournie; daughters Patricia (Tony) Lepine and Donna (Dean) Pirie. There are twenty-one grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Cecil was predeceased by his wife Mabel and brother Archie LaFournie. A Graveside Service will be held at the Veterans' Section, Brandon Cemetery on Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Leo Fernandes of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church will officiate.
