FARDOE: The death of Cecil John, beloved husband of Beryl, father of Lawrence, Arlene, Frances, and Kimberley, occurred at Fairview Home on June 1, 2006. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 18th Street North, on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm. The Rt. Rev. Malcolm Harding will officiate. A private interment service will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. FARDOE: The death of Cecil John, beloved husband of Beryl, father of Lawrence, Arlene, Frances, and Kimberley, occurred at Fairview Home on June 1, 2006. Cecil was born March 14, 1929 in Brandon. He was raised on the family farm south of Brandon and received his education at Little Souris School. Cecil worked for Brandon Packers, Coca-Cola, city works and was then transferred to the police department as Special Constable until his retirement. Cecil was a founding member of M.A.R.M., and a member of the Manitoba Amateur Radio Museum in Austin, Manitoba. Cecil enjoyed gardening, reloading his own ammunition, and listening to and playing many instruments. He was an avid hunter, pistol and black powder shooter. Cecil was actively involved in amateur radio, his call letters were VE4EE as well as being an avid CB Radio enthusiast. "Cec touched many lives in different ways over the years. We as family will miss him as will his friends. We all have different memories to keep with each of us; from the old garden hat to a story he told us of his younger days on the farm or his work with the public." He will be loving remembered by his wife Beryl; children Lawrence (Cheryl), Arleen (John) Duigan, Frances (Mike) Ragsdale, Kim; grandchildren Greg and Wesley. He also leaves a brother Bill (Anne) and a sister Ellen. Cecil was predeceased by his mother and father and numerous relatives. Pallbearers were Rosine Fouillard, Edwin Fardoe, Kelly Fardoe, Bud Townsend, Ken Sitko and Darryl Hodkin. A private interment service followed in the Brandon Cemetery.
