CATHRO: Carleen. The death of Carleen Cathro beloved wife of Tom, dear mother and grandmother occurred at Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, February 12, 2010. Carleen was born at Miniota, Manitoba on September 17, 1934, daughter of Richard and Evelyn Newsham. She married Thomas Cathro December 17, 1955. The last 25 years were spent in Foxwarren where Carleen was an active member of the community. She served as President of the Foxwarren Royal Canadian Legion Branch #152, Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She is survived by her husband Tom and her three children: Robert Cathro (Marsha Bunn), Tim (Sandra) Cathro, and Ann Cathro. There are ten grandchildren. A sister Marian Hamilton also survives. There are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Carleen was predeceased by her parents, and a brother Doug Newsham. According to Carleen's wishes there will be a private ceremony to be held with interment in the Zion Cemetery, R.M. of Ellice.
