Carl Kennedy
Carl Kennedy passed peacefully to his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 96. Carl lived a long, lovely life with faith, family and friendship as the heart of it. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends.
Left to mourn him are his son, Daryl Kennedy; granddaughter Michelle (Lance) Dornn, great grandsons Layton (Montana) and Ty (Jalyn); granddaughter Joanne (Reg) Spencer; granddaughter Angela (Cory) Bird, great granddaughter Zaina (Bayley), great great grandchildren Kruizmin and Kohin, great granddaughter Daija (Madi), great grandson Zaiden (Alyx); son, Richard (Iris) Kennedy, grandson Derek (Karla) Kennedy, great grandson Benjamin and great granddaughter Madison; grandson Carl (Amanda) Kennedy, great granddaughter Tatyana, great grandson Carl JR; granddaughter Tania (Kent) Ofstie, great grandson Kyran, great granddaughters Kezia and Scarlette; son, Keith (April) Kennedy; and many extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Effie (nee Lewis), parents Gordon and Lillian Kennedy, sister Marguerite and brother-in-law Jim Logan and his brother David Kennedy.
We were blessed to have had so much love, laughter and wonderful memories over the years. As sad as this loss is, we know Dad/Grandpa is reunited with his love, Mom/Grandma, in the glory land.
Thank you to the staff at Hillcrest Personal Care Home. The care and compassion that was provided to Carl was exceptional and was appreciated beyond words. The kindness was always extended to the family as well.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Bethel Christian Assembly Church, 440 Richmond Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba.
