The death of Calvin John of Brandon occurred at his residence on Thursday, May 15, 2003. A graveside ceremony will be held at the Alexander Cemetery, Alexander, Manitoba on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Capt. Gary Keeping of the Salvation Army Citadel will officiate. JOHN: It is with much sadness that the family announce the passing of Calvin John on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at his residence. Cal was born on September 19, 1946 in Brandon, where he also received his education. He worked for Gulf Oil, Petro Canada and at Simplot, where he performed maintenance and guard duties. Cal's favorite hobby was being a handyman to all his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Florence; step-dad, Harry Dennis; brothers, Clifford (Janice) John of Edmonton, AB, Gordon (Audrey) Ross of Edmonton, AB, and Bill (Doreen) John of Brandon. Cal is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Clifford John Sr. on August 22, 1966. A graveside ceremony was held at the Alexander Cemetery, Alexander, MB on Wednesday, May 21, 2003. Capt. Gary Keeping of the Salvation Army officiated.
