Calvin "Cal" Roy Jackson passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Cal was born on April 26, 1960, in Erickson, MB to parents Gerald and Mabel. He lived his early years in Onanole and spent most of his time at the family's Esso garage. Cal attended elementary school in Onanole and finished high school at Vincent Massey in Brandon.
Over the years, Cal wore many hats through his various roles. His early working years saw him in the movie rental business, Schwan's, Jelco Courier and with Land Titles, where he was involved in the sale of Crown Lands. Cal also lent his talents to Evolve (pipeline) and car sales at Nissan, and Fowlers Hyundai. Cal's journey took him into the world of real estate, where he spent many fulfilling years helping people find homes and build new chapters in their lives. He worked with several respected agencies, including Century 21, Home Life, and most recently, Integral Realty.
Outside of work, he had a lifelong passion for cars, especially through his involvement with the Road Rebels and Strokers, where he enjoyed every opportunity to cruise, tinker, and talk shop. His love of the outdoors led to many years of curling, snowmobiling, camping trips and road trips on his motorcycle — adventures he cherished. In his younger years, Cal laced up his skates to play hockey and remained a devoted fan of the game ever since. Some of his greatest joys came from watching his son Chase play hockey and cheering on his favorite teams, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets. But above all, Cal was happiest when surrounded by family. Whether it was a quiet evening or a big get-together, those moments were what he valued most.
Cal was predeceased by his parents Gerald & Mabel Jackson, and brother Wayne Jackson.
Cal will be lovingly remembered by his wife Viv; son Chase; brother Larry Jackson (Wendy); sister-in-law Laurie Jackson; brother-in-law Barry (Shawna) Penonzek; niece Sheena Jackson; and nephew Daniel Penonzek.
A Celebration of Cal's Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, Brandon, MB on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Please dress in casual attire.
