On Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 12:40 a.m. Brian R. Thompson passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Chief Medical Investigator deemed his death a result of car/train accident which occurred in 1978. Brian was a loving husband to wife Marie for 32 years and a devoted father to sons Benjamin (27) and Michael (25). He served his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ faithfully in many capacities at Bible Baptist Church of Brandon, Manitoba, for the past 28 years, 15 of those as a Sunday School teacher. Brian was a Fifth Class Power Engineer with the Brandon School Division for 17 years. He spent the last 12 years as custodian at George Fitton School. The Funeral Service reflecting his unique personality will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. Interment will be at the Carberry Plains Cemetery. A reception will follow in the gymnasium at George Fitton School, 1129 3rd Street, Brandon. All past friends and acquaintances of Brian are welcome.
