HUNT: Beth Elaine, 1948 - 2002. The death of Beth, beloved wife of Richard, occurred on Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in the city of Brandon. Beth was born November 6, 1948, in Russell, Manitoba, the daughter of Allan "Sonny" and Jean Rowland . She was raised in the R.M. of Silver Creek, and began her schooling at Boyle school, completing her school years in Foxwarren. She started hairdressing school at the age of 15, and did her apprenticing in Birtle. After completing her apprenticeship she ventured to Saskatoon to work for 3 years. She returned to Brandon, where she continued to build her 31 year career. During this time she was employed with the Hunt family and eventually became self-employed at Flash Barber and Beauty Salon with her husband Richard. Beth was employed at Woolco later to be called Walmart. Beth was also a member of UCT for 20 years, and a member of the Twin & Triplets Club . On July 21, 1973, Beth married Richard after a lengthy 6 month engagement. Her first pride and joy were her twin boys, Rob and Ryan, born December 2, 1974. After 3 1/2 exciting years of raising her boys, a daughter Kelly, born April 3, 1979 . Beth loved to entertain family and friends with her abundance of warmth and love. This was an important part of her life. She also enjoyed her quiet times with her husband, going camping and doing weekend outings. Predeceased by father, Sonny Rowland, and father-in- law, Charles Hunt. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Rob (Carmela), Ryan (Deanna) and grandson, Cole: daughter, Kelly (Greg). Also surviving are her mother, Jean Rowland: sisters, Patsy Woodhouse (Harold) and Betty Rowland; brother, Jim (Jacqui) Rowland; mother-in-law, Doris Hunt; sisters-in-law; Patty, Judy and Families; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. A time of visitation will be held at Memories Chapel 330 - 18th Street N., on Friday evening (tonight) between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. The Service to Celebrate Beth's Life will be held at First Baptist Church, 3881 Park Avenue, Brandon, on Saturday, August 17, 2002, at 2 p.m. Rev. Randy Stanton will officiate. Interment will follow at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined.
