Obituary

HOY: Bernice Lorraine Hoy (nee Lockhart), beloved wife of the late Archie Hoy, passed away suddenly June 11, 2004 at the Brandon Assiniboine Centre with her family at her side. Born in Brandon on January 29, 1917, Bernice lived her entire life in the city. On February 14, 1938, Bernice married Archie Hoy. She worked for several years as a Nurse's Aid at the Brandon Mental Health Centre until 1965. Bernice is survived by: her children, Joanne (David) Rose of Edmonton and Tom (Lynda) Hoy of Brandon, grandchildren, Marianne Benjamin, Nicole Benjamin (and their father Len Benjamin), Raymond Hoy and Kelly Hoy, also great grandchild, Taylor Toth. She is also survived by a sister, Kathleen Bridger and brothers, Lawrence (Norma) Lockhart and Victor Lockhart. There are many nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by: her husband Archie in 1975; brothers, Clifford, Frank, Harvey, Raymond and Donald, and sisters, Margaret Lockhart, Katherine McMillan and Virginia McLachlan. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 130 pm. at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
