BUND: The death of Beatrice Myril Bund of Dinsdale Home occurred in the city on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Bea was born on January 1, 1908 in Chesley, Manitoba, the daughter of Phillip and Jane (nee Barrett) Jordan. She moved to Lauder, Manitoba in 1924, and married Alfred Grieve in 1928. Beatrice worked in Lauder at the Egg Grading Station until 1941, when she moved to Grandview to become the manager at the Grandview Dairy and Poultry Plant until 1967. During her years there, she was awarded four annual trophies for Management of Manitoba Dairy and Poultry, as well as receiving numerous Certificates of Merit for Efficiency. Beatrice was a member of the "Dawn of Peace" Rebekah Lodge #60, I.O.O.F. Grandview. She was an active Lodge member for over fifty years. She was presented with her 50 year pin. Bea was an avid curler, enjoyed playing tennis, was a keen card player and enjoyed reading. Bea always enjoyed visiting her step-children and grandchildren. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Gail (Don) Lamb and children, Brenda and Shannon (Jay) and daughter Kiera; Jan (Carl) Jordan; Bonnie (Gordon) Wudrick; James (Jacquie) Jordan, son Jeffrey (Debbie) and daughter Megan; Robert Jordan and children, Sherrie, Laurie, Sandra and their families. Bea also leaves: stepsons, Jim and Cecil Bund; four step-grandchildren, Natalie (Dale) McKay and children, Sara, Kale, Ashley; Cliff Bund; Kim (Warren) Boles and son TeeJay; Carolin Bund. She also leaves step-daughters-in-law, Marion Bund and Marg Parker. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Marion Bund and Marg Parker for all their loving care and support to Beatrice over the years. Bea was predeceased by: her first husband, Alfred Grieve in 1970; second husband, James Arthur Bund in 1990; parents, Phillip and Jane Jordan and brothers, Phillip (Edith) and Ronald (Janette) Jordan. The graveside and interment service was held in the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Manitoba on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 1:00 pm. Major Winnie Perrin of the Salvation Army, Dinsdale Home, Brandon officiated. Urn Bearer was Cliff Bund. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Beatrice to a charity of choice.
