Obituary

Audrey Maureen Easter, (nee McEwing), beloved wife of Gary and dear mother of Baret and Averyl, passed away with her family by her side, at the Assiniboine Centre on Tuesday, August 7, 2001. Audrey was born on July 21, 1956 to Phyllis and Donald McEwing in the Rural Municipality of Daly, Manitoba. She lived on the family farm with her two brothers and one sister. Audrey enjoyed riding the farm horse and sometimes helped with chores. She received her childhood education at Robinville School, Rivers Elementary and High Schools. Audrey attended Assiniboine Community College and Brandon University where she achieved International Honour Society of Nursing ~ Sigma Theta Tau. Graduating from Brandon University she obtained her B.Sc.N. Honourable Mention Marn Gold Medal. She worked at Park Luncheonet at Clear Lake earlier in her life, then at Brandon General Hospital and the Assiniboine Centre. Audrey's interests were in golf, skiing, sewing, creative memories, needle point, knitting, gardening, trips south of the border and she loved camping. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau, International Honour Society of Nursing. Audrey is survived by her husband, Gary and children, Baret and Averyl. Also surviving are her mother, Phyllis; brothers, Bruce and Grant; sister, Sandra; sisters-in-law, Jo-Anne and Rhonda; brothers-in-law, David and Blaine. She was pre-deceased by her father, Don McEwing. The Ceremony to Remember Audrey's Life was held at Central United Church on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood officiated. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Urnbearer was Chris Judd. Flowers are gratefully declined.
