Whether travelling, singing together, many years of dancing or watching their yard and fruit trees grow and flourish Audrey and Colin enjoyed their years together.
Audrey attended school in Binscarth, then completed Normal School (Teacher's College) in Winnipeg. During this time, she helped sandbag for the 50's flood. She told stories of running from rushing water when a dike broke. Upon graduation Audrey taught elementary grades in Isabella for three years and two years in Erickson. She made lifelong friends during these years and met her future husband Colin. Audrey returned to teaching for one year in Shilo in 1969/70. Audrey always enjoyed babies and children. She was happiest holding an infant or interacting with children.

Audrey was multi-talented. As well as her singing voice she provided her family with wonderful knitted gifts, won awards for her needle work, loved crafting and curated shelves full of jams and preserves to feed her family. Her freezer jams and relishes were coveted by many.
Audrey was welcoming and caring. Friends, family, friends of her children and many pets were always welcome in her home. She was a Mom to so many people. She could always "put a little more water in the soup" to ensure everyone was well fed. Her first question to you was usually "Are you hungry?" Audrey developed and fed lifelong friendships in all of her family, volunteering and work experiences. She was interested in everyone she met.
Audrey moved into an apartment in 2013. She cherished her independence and was an active participant in the many opportunities within the complex.
