He was born on August 20, 1968 to Peter and Rose Todosey at the Dauphin General Hospital. He was raised on the family farm near Ukraina, MB where he attended the Ethelbert Collegiate for his elementary and some of his high school education. Art then transferred to the D.R.C.S.S. for the rest of his high school education. He worked part time at a local catering company during high school, as well as being a cook at Boston Pizza in Dauphin. After he finished school, he worked at Westmore Car Wash and drove for Dauphin Taxi. Art earned his Class 1A driver's license in 1990 and drove for Grey Goose Bus Lines and for Central Bus Lines, often driving in western Canada and several parts of the U.S.A. for tours. Working for Central Bus Lines, Art found his lifetime calling as a heavy duty mechanic so he moved temporarily to Thompson, MB and worked to achieve his heavy duty mechanic journeyman certification working at Grey Goose and later L. & R. Transport, in Brandon, MB. From there, he went to work at R.C.B. Truck & Trailer for a couple of years. Art spent the last 16 years working at Cando Contracting in Brandon, MB as a mechanic and soon after was promoted to Shop Supervisor then Maintenance Supervisor.

On May 16, 1992 Art married the love of his life, Kyla Gagen. Together they had a daughter named Dayna, born in 2002. Art was very proud of his beautiful bundle of joy, who has grown up to be a very creative artist.

In his spare time loved to watch Blue Bomber football and Winnipeg Jets hockey games as well as enjoying camping with his family when time allowed. Art loved to ride his Harley with his friends, and occasionally his brother Lawrence. He also enjoyed being a flagman for PASCAR stock car races in Souris, MB during the summer. Art loved tinkering and fixing up old vehicles and his Harleys in his garage.

A Celebration of Art's Life is planned for May 2022 for his family and friends from the Dauphin area. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Brandon for his friends and co-workers this summer.

Donations in memory of Art may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 - 17th Street East, Brandon, MB R7A 7M6.

We never truly learned the meaning of the words "I miss you" until we reached for your hand and you were not there.

Rest in peace "Honey". Until we meet again.
