BALISKI: With her family by her side, Anne Baliski (nee Warantz) of Brandon, passed away peacefully at her residence, Fairview Home on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 after a five year battle with Alzheimers. She was born on June 3, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. On May 2, 1936, Anne married Stanley Baliski and lived in Montreal, where a son Gregory and daughter Barbara were born. They then moved to Brandon where they raised daughter Barbara and son, Wayne. In 1960, Anne and Stanley moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario and then returned to Brandon in 1983. Anne was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 1995; infant son in 1938; son Wayne in 2007; her mother and father and her brothers Paul and Bill. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Dick) Pow; one brother John Warantz; a sister Nell Siskiewich all of Brandon; grandchildren: Karen (Pat) Hurl of Brandon, Lori Pow of Winnipeg, Kevin and Ryan Baliski of British Columbia; great-grandchildren: Vanessa and Dustin Hurl, Stacey Hawryluk, Darrick and Jordan Aube; one great, great-grandchild Dane Demarco. The Ceremony of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 327 4th Street, on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:00 am. Celebrant will be Fr. Dominic Yuen. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
