Anna Eleanor Brugger passed away at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home on Saturday, November 24, 2001 at the age of 90 years. Anna was born to parents, Elias and Sara Sandstrom on March 30, 1911 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. She grew up on the family farm in the R.M. of Odanah. Anna received her education at the Rookhurst and Minnedosa Schools. In October 1934 she married Harvey Ernest Brugger and took up residence on the farm in the Rookhurst area. Anna was an active member of the community. Due to Harvey's ill health they moved to Minnedosa in 1960. Anna was a lifetime member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Minnedosa, a very active member of the C.W. Ladies, a member of the Green Valley Drop-In Centre and sang with the Merry Heart Singers. She was pre-deceased by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and her husband, Harvey in 1987. Her love of family was the most important thing to her. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Laraine Good of Brandon, Joyce (Keith) Cameron of Minnedosa; sons, Dennis (Cheryl) Brugger of Brandon; and Haven (Madeline) Brugger of Brandon. She also leaves twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Minnedosa, with Pastor Dan Pearson officiating. "Memories of Grandma" were given by granddaughters, Denise Thomson, Brenda McKitrick and Kim Whittington. Pallbearers were grandsons, Ken Brugger, Brian Brugger, Rick Brugger, Craig Cameron, Kirk Brugger and Kevin Brugger. Soloist was Grant Johnson. Interment followed at Smoland Cemetery.
