It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Angus Macdonald on Saturday, October 9, 1999. Angus was born on September 22, 1932 in Springside, Saskatchewan. He married Angeline Hubenig on July 31, 1954 and this year celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary. Angus dedicated his working life to the optical industry, until his sudden passing. For many years, he was involved with the Brandon Minor Baseball Association and was on the board of Canadian Opticians Guild. Angus served as President of the Board of Opthalmic Dispensing of Manitoba and was a Senator of the Brandon Jaycees. Angus was also a life member of the Optimist Club of Brandon and served a term as chairman of the Board of the C.N.I.B. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Angus loved his grandchildren dearly. "Grampa could fix anything." He will be deeply missed. "We love you Grampa, Justin, Krystin, Caitlin, Courtney and Aiden." Angus is survived by his loving wife Angie, sons: Kevin (Linda) of Oakville, ON; Brian (Tara) and Aiden; Ian (Anne), Caitlin and Courtney; daughter, Sandra (Steve) Watters, Justin and Krystin. The ceremony to celebrate Angus's life was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 1:30 pm. The Rev. Dale Woods officiated. Interment was in the Brandon cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may make a donation in memory of Angus to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 354-10th Street, Brandon, R7A 4G1 or to a charity of choice.
