Alfred Roy Paterson, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2003 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Alf is survived by: his wife, the love of his life for sixty-three years, Olive. He is also leaves, his son Brian and daughter-in-law Bonnie, son-in-law, George Watson and wife Judi. He will be sadly missed by, his wonderful grandchildren, Kerri, Tricia, Shelly, Dixie, Paul and Mark and great granddaughter, Paige. He was so proud of all of them. Alf also leaves his sisters-in-law, Bernice, Lynn (Bill), Joyce (Don), Vi (Cy), Dorothy, Eileen and Isabel. There are numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his special friends and second family, niece Gloria and husband Merv Dillabough and their family, who have given Alf and Olive such wonderful support and companionship over they years. Alf also leaves behind many other friends who have always been there for he and Olive. Alf was predeceased by his mother and father, Hector and Anne, daughter Judy in 1985, sisters and brothers; Ann and Mona, Hector, George, Dan, Bruce and Ed. Alf and Olive ran a very successful Amway business for twenty-five years. This allowed them to travel to many places in Canada, the U.S.A. and beyond. They were able to meet many friends and over the years, established many long time friendships. At Alf's request, there will be no funeral service. A private interment will take place at the Scotia cemetery, near Hamiota. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7 would be greatly appreciated in memory of Alf and his daughter Judy.
