DUFFIELD: Albert Edward "Ted" Duffield entered into rest in Brandon on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the age of eighty years. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Mona Franklin will officiate. A private graveside service will follow at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. DUFFIELD: Albert Edward "Ted" Duffield passed away with family at his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, October 8, 2006. Ted was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 23, 1925. He was the youngest of three children. He was pre-deceased by his sister Irene Reynolds of Vancouver, and first wife Muriel (nee Thompson) in 1993. He was also predeceased by brother-in-law Darcy MacKay. Ted is survived by his loving wife Lois (nee Dodd); his sister Louise Reilly of Edmonton; daughter Judy (Gary) McIntosh and their children Kelly and Megan; son Jaye (Laurie) and children Jenny and Michel. He is also survived by stepchildren Donna Dodd, her children Canda and Grady Manson and step-great granddaughter, Easton; Shane (Lorna) Dodd, their children Blake and Curtis; Loree (Rick) Osudar, children Amber and Wade. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Gerry (Anne) MacKay and family, sister-in-law Loree Hays and family and the family of the late Darcy MacKay. Ted moved his young family to Brandon, Manitoba in 1958 when he purchased Reesor's Jewellery. The business remains in the family to this date. He was one of the first Brandon businessmen to champion and open a second store in the then new Brandon Shoppers Mall in 1972. Ted contributed very generously to the community that was so good to him. He was an active member of the Brandon Shrine Club for many years and in particular the Brandon Shrine Car Club Patrol. He was an accomplished pilot, a ham radio buff and he could fix anything. Ted lived his life with zest and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Friday, October 13, 2006. Mona Franklin officiated. Urn bearer was Jaye Duffield. A private interment followed at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
