BAKER: Albert David Baker, 89, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Fairview Personal Care Home. Albert was born April 26, 1916 in Cardiff Wales. In 1926 he immigrated to Canada with his family. They settled in Clearwater, Manitoba, where they farmed. As a young man, he moved to Brandon and began a long career as a sales representative. The majority of his career, until his retirement, was spent with William Neilson Ltd. On September 3, 1939 he married Lucy Snuggs. Their marriage and their children were the heart of his life for 65 years. During WWII Albert was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was also a member of the United Commercial Travelers. Albert loved to sing, and play the organ. He was a member of his Church choir, and the Barber Shopper's. Lucy and Albert enjoyed many good years at Clear Lake, RMNP, making good friends and enjoying the outdoors. In their retirement, Lucy and Albert took to the road in their trailer and traveled across Canada. Albert was predeceased by his mother, Agnes and father, Albert, as well as ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife Lucy; his children, Fred (Shirl) Baker, Gail (Raymond) Volanski, Ken
(Pattie) Baker, Jerry (Jan) Baker, and Joy Corley; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A small family service was held on Saturday, July 9, 2005, to celebrate Dad's Life. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation to the Heart and Stroke
