BLACK: Agnes Baxter Black (nee Wilson) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 surrounded by her family. Agnes was born in Virden, MB on January 24, 1926, the youngest daughter of Rev. James and Margaret Wilson. She worked for a brief time as a telephone operator until her marriage to Wm. "Bill" Black on September 7, 1946 and remained Brandon. Agnes had a great love of music, singing at many functions in her early years. She also was an avid reader. With a love to bake, her home always smelled of home baked cookies, muffins and pies. Agnes loved the outdoors and spent many enjoyable times hiking, canoeing and picnicking with Bill and her family at Clear Lake. Her greatest love was her husband of 57 years, Bill; her children and grandchildren. Her whole life was centered around her love for her family. Agnes will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Rosemary (Jim) Cornett, David (Brenda), and Sandy; grandchildren, Chris, Aaron, Kelsey and Justin; sister, Mary Dobson and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her husband, Bill; parents, Rev. James and Margaret Wilson; and sister, Janet Coleman. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11:00 am. Rev. John Nesbitt of Trinity United Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
