Message

The health, safety and well being of our families, guests and staff are always a top priority. As COVID-19 concerns heighten around the world we want to assure the public that from the onset of COVID-19 Memories Chapel has been in contact with or monitoring strategies, advice and suggestions reported by the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), Funeral Service Association of Canada (FSAC), Manitoba Health, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Centre for Disease Control (CDC), and other agencies around the world to ensure we are aware of, and aligned with, guidance regarding best practices.

Memories Chapel is continuing to thoroughly disinfect our facility and vehicles using industry-approved health care grade products. In addition to the standard funeral home cleaning and disinfecting, we have taken additional measures to increase the frequency of disinfecting of all surfaces and high touch areas within the funeral home and installation of new hand sanitizing stations along with reminder notices in the washrooms about the importance of proper hygiene during these difficult times. Staff training has been provided specifically related to COVID-19 on handwashing best practices, sanitary standards, and safe work practices, reminding staff with symptoms to remain at home.

In consultation with various agencies and carefully considering this announcement, Memories Chapel wants to reassure families that we will continue to provide the opportunity to gather when we can and remember a loved one and proceed with funeral services as we know this is an important step in the grieving process.

We have suspended any preplanning seminars and ask those who desire preplanning information to contact us directly and we can meet individually to provide this information.

Accommodating families using teleconference, video conference, email and our website for providing information and merchandise when arranging a funeral service.

As always, it is our top priority to provide an atmosphere to provide a meaningful funeral service experience.
