Obituary for Margaret Nadler

NADLER: Margaret Dunbar Nadler (nee Connon) passed away peacefully after a brief illness, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Margaret was born in Brandon on June 25, 1917 and lived there her entire life. She was raised on a farm east of Brandon with her four sisters and three brothers. Margaret worked with her dad on the dairy farm, where she milked cows and delivered milk to customers in Brandon. She stayed on the farm until she was married in 1944. She was a very hard working woman and raised five children on her own. She encouraged her children to work hard in school and was a great mentor to them. When her children were grown, she worked at the Brandon General Hospital for 15 years, where she was well liked and respected as a caring and friendly person. During this time in her life she became involved in many new hobbies such as: bowling, curling, golf and shuffleboard. She also met a wonderful companion, Mel Anderson, with whom she spent her retirement years. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by: children, Barbara Hay, Joan (Barry) Tegg, James (Rita) Nadler and Marian Nadler. She is also survived by: ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and her older sister, Gladys Wilson. Margaret was predeceased by her oldest child, Kathryn on August 9, 1964. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 10:00 am.
